The Delhi Development Authority (DDA) has planned to launch around 5000 flats under its housing scheme in 2020. The houses would be accessible in locations such as Jasola, Dwarka and Narela.
The Delhi Development Authority (DDA) will offer around 5,000 LIG, MIG and HIG units under its housing scheme in 2020. Of this, around 3,000 units would be in LIG, and MIG category and the remaining would comprise luxury units, penthouses and HIG and super-HIG units. The houses would spread across Dwarka, Narela and Jasola areas. However, one block in Dwarka would comprise two-tier penthouses with a terrace and four bedrooms.
According to Tarun Kapoor, Vice Chairman, DDA, the focus of DDA is not only restricted to penthouses and luxury units, but it aims to construct houses across all budget categories. As many as 60,000 housing units are presently under-construction. Of this, around 55,000 units are either 2 BHK configurations or smaller units. Only Dwarka has flats with bigger carpet sizes.
Furthermore, speaking about the failure of DDA housing scheme 2019 where many buyers returned flats in Narela, the official avers that the main reason for homebuyers backing out was the lack of transport facility in the area. Therefore, this year, the focus of the authority would not only be on developing units but also improvising the infrastructure, especially connectivity.
